Creative Consulting

Growth starts with seeing what you already have differently. I help organizations and established founders identify new audiences, channels, offers, partnerships and sources of revenue, then shape the idea and bring it to life.

What can creative consulting help with?

Bring a business question, an early idea, existing work or a challenge that needs a different approach. You do not need an animation project.

Creative consulting can help you see new possibilities in work you already have, identify another audience or channel, explore a new offer or partnership, or shape a creative idea into a direction you can act on. When the idea needs further development, Anissa Studio can also provide creative direction to help bring it to life.

What we can explore

We may explore how existing knowledge or stories could reach another audience, whether an idea could become a new offer or partnership, or how a promising concept should be developed creatively. Some sessions stay at the strategic level. Others lead into creative direction, series development or a larger engagement.

For a DOT grant-funded Atlantic City International Airport campaign, Anissa Douglass developed the creative direction and narrative approach for a multi-installment campaign designed to help regional travelers see the airport differently. Read the airport campaign case study.

Frequently asked questions

What does a creative consultant do?

A creative consultant brings an outside perspective to an idea, challenge or existing body of work and helps identify opportunities that may not be obvious from inside the organization. At Anissa Studio, that can mean finding a new audience, channel, offer, partnership or source of revenue, then shaping the strongest idea into a direction you can act on.

Do I need an animation project to work with Anissa Studio?

No. Creative Consulting is separate from Animated Storytelling. You can bring a business question, positioning decision, existing idea, partnership opportunity or creative challenge without having an animation project in mind.

What should I bring to a Creative Consulting Session?

Bring the question or opportunity you want to work through. Existing materials, links or background can be useful when relevant, but you do not need to arrive with a finished brief or proposed solution.

What happens if the idea needs more than one session?

If the opportunity requires continued development, you can move into an advisory retainer or a separately scoped creative engagement. Animation, audio or other creative direction can also be added when the idea calls for it.
